Had a piston/ring etc ring fitted to the engine about 5 months ago but due to personal probs only managed to get the engine run in last weekend all as per builders instructions. So off to the track today out with my jet tech end up on a 162 and off we go came in after 14 laps no rear grip but all going well. Out again after 10 laps then loss of power. The max revs on the micron 13200 the max temp reached 60c. The piston ring has a 10mm piece missing as I look into the exhaust port. There is a small grove up the side of the piston and a chip in the power valve blade. Could this be a ring failure or can anything else cause it to break ??The engine had 40 mins on the run in day and 22 mins today.
