In fairness, in TKM (and Junior TKM) you can machine the combustion chamber within the head, and the mating face on the barrel. And there's a pretty wide tolerance available on the machined dimensions as long as the TDC volume is right. Not sure what that means in terms of changing power characteristics yet.

But you can't touch the bottom of the barrel or the ports. I think the rules have been very well thought through as it goes.

One of the reasons I went for TKM was the opportunity to try a few things. Not done too much yet, but early days.
