we raced this weekend at shennington and we have raced before there but we had problems which me and my dad could not understand. we are in junior rotax but have recently moved up from minimax three months ago, we were told the gearing was 12/75 and a 12/5 carb with a 162 jet and a 98 needle it was warm and dry and my dads air pressure dial was reading 1001 mbs. when we went down the long straight it kept hitting what i can only describe as a limiter, like a rasping noise then when i came out of wilkins at the bottom it was really slow, the same was out of the first hairpin, like a hesitation? we tried going down on jet, up on tooth, and even tried a different needle a 27 needle, non of these made it much better. everything else was fine, the engines are reguraly done by grice engines and we had changed coils and batteries etc..anyone any ideas or were we way off from the set up my dad was given?
