Castor or synthetic the choice is yours? we have always used Elf and have been successful at a number of national events whilst using it.

Off course you can read the mixture from the top of the piston and the plug when using castor based oil.

If you run your squish that close to the limit and don't check your engine after each meeting then your asking for trouble. We have had our engines checked countless times and never failed squish or volume checks yet.
