It might help if you read the original press release(link below) as this suggests that the engines will not be stressed. Not sure about the engines being inferior to KFs - they are different and aimed to fall between KF and max.

BMB is the engine division of Birel and they do supply engines for the easykarts in several countries plus for the KF classes and in the Winter Cup they had a 1/2 in KF2 so seem to be on-the-pace.

This proposed class will have to prove itself to potential customers just like the Super cadet class but they must feel there is a gap in the market for this type of karting.
