Yeah I understand what you mean about open days it's just most of them nowadays are related to upcoming National events so they will attract the top drivers. I.e. Cadwell Park on the 16th July.

It still is an open day and although i've not raced there yet I can't wait! Spectating the ICC is exciting enough lol!

As for class change to gearbox it just seems common sense! Once your lad has had a go in one he will never want to turn back. It's so much better than the direct drive classes i've raced in.
