Hi Dan, Many thanks for the tip on the chain guard I'll take that onboard like I have with all the advice I've been given on this matter.

My decision to purchase the extron sprockets was a purely financial one, as my son was in need of some gearing and I managed to purchase 3 or 4 of these for Ł15, and I've have no issues with them to date. At the time of purchase I was on the bones of my ar$e as a company had just gone bust on me and I had foolishly spent the cash before I received it!

As for weight I don't need to lose it I need to add it 12/14kg to be honest,again this will have to wait due to financial restraints, I'm looking into making my own but someone stole the old lead pipe I had put to one side. I think at the moment it's around Ł25 for 4kg delivered. My lad as only just gone 7 and started back it september we have both got alot to learn, but we will get there (with a simle on our face!)
