Chaps,
Can you advise on the following:
Have been unable to get engine run lean enough, even on a 145jet. Have adjusted float heigths etc, however the engine runs clean, pulls strong >14k but I can't get the header anywhere near dry. Wet with carbon..
However I have noticed that other drivers run a return line so could the float needle be forced off its seat at high rpm? I also noticed that the carb was not level and is pointed down at an acute angle.up to 15mm off level.. I have repositioned the airbox and replaced the rubber manifold and the carg is now level. The question I have is that I have to now find a basepoint for the jetting so can you recommend a setting that is close to optimum say around 13`60% rh and 1020Mb..ps I can remember off hand what the idle jets are..
