I find it very hard to believe the new exhaust can be any different to the old one? the only difference is the baffle tube is held in place with springs rather than the weld that would occasionally split, if you can see a difference in testing I would suggest it is due to the wadding and carbon build up in the old exhaust, the clutch is identical accept for a small amount of machining in the area of where cracks would appear (like when you have a split in your plastic bumper and you drill a little hole at the end of the split to stop it) or so I am lead to believe
