In response to 'Bod'. I bought an 09 because thats what i could afford at the time, and the best i could find at the time as well...
I work in engineering and know that milling and especially casting processes vary from part to part / batch to batch, which will every now and again throw out extremely good parts (barrels) and extremely bad ones. As Rotax have been making these engines for some time this will be the case for every year of barrel so im sure you can get very good 04's, 06's 2000's...whatever. For whatever reason the casting process in 07 threw out a few more good ones than usual (excepted not every one was good), its just a basic rule observed by many including me....obviously not by Bod and others on here which is fair enough, i was mearly expressing my opinion.
Again with the OTK chassis its very easy to set up and as a beginner thats good as you can concetrate on driving rather all the other 'adjustable bits' until your looking for those last few tenths. With whatever you buy, you can be sure the racing on the track is just as passionate and hard as the debating in the forums! Good luck
