Would it be your view that if you held an MSA license, you would be prevented from participating in banger racing, motorcross, cycling, speedway or from officiating at the same?
Because a governing body has rules and regulations, it does not follow that those rules are legal or enforceable under British law.
Indeed, there are countless incidents where court cases have arisen and those regulations and rules have been found to be badly flawed and unenfoceable.
The instance you refer to is almost certainly not enfoceable and would fail miserably either in this country or when referred to the European Court.
It might have worked in the suppresive yesteryear but definitely not in our enlightened times.
Perhaps this Mr Robinson could take note of this aspect and add it to his growing "things to do" list.
I have often wondered what happens if someone who appears before the MSA national court and receives a fine, refuses to pay that fine?
How do the MSA believe that they can recover that money, by whistling?
