i havent read all the posts as its the same old same old

they wont give you 2 rolling laps due to cold tyres and they shouldnt, part of the art of racing is to get heat in the tyres quickly so that you be lit from the green light, this sets the front runners apart from the rest, they can work their way through the pack within 2 laps because they can drive quicker than the rest on cold tyres and also get heat into the tyres quicker (because they drive quicker on the cold tyres to generate more heat quicker). that is part of racing and part of the art of being a driver, it would be unfair to remove that advantage from the top drivers because that is down to natural ability and experience, it isnt an unfair advantage.
as a driver i would feel cheated if everybody was given extra rolling laps to "get heat in the tyres" when it is something i have learnt to do and is one of the weapons in my armoury that sets me apart from the rest, and it would be unfair on these drivers to impose that. you may find after a couple more years of racing (adam and russ) with more experience that you find yourself on the other side of the fence and looking at it from this viewpoint :-)
