Even I am a bit too young to remember Max Bygraves and I started kart racing in the very early sixties. All I can remember of Max is that I thought he was, in your venaculer, s***e.

I do believe the statement you quoted from is on the whole correct. S1 has always provided a superb platform to kart racing. Whether you can afford as appears to be current gripe, it is down to the individual.
