Before the 09 barrel came out the chances of getting a good engine off the shelf was about 1 in 10 but now I would say with an 09 if you buy 2 engines the chances are you will get 1 very very good one. OTK chassis are better in my opinion but do not last as long as the gillard so it really depends on what budget you have. You could use the gillard for 2 seasons and be fast but you would need to reframe a Tony every 6 - 8 meetings as they do get soft if you crash them.
