yh i have to be a lot more careful when driving my D/D bt82 compared to my clutched bt95 with regards to locking up, if u have it slightly open it will still stall when u lock up, as the engines not turning over no matter how far open or closed the butterfly is. i would say dont worry about the idle speed, its so insugnificant, just concentrate on kart set up and carb jets, the idle is useless when your at 15000rpm =D lol
