Digressing further,

In the days of ICC and Super ICC they both used SL4's and the only difference was the 5kg weight. SL4's are really a 'corporate' tyre and at certain tracks the top JICA drivers using 'soft' tyres were posting times faster than Super ICC. When the designation changed to KZ, DCH's were introduced to give the class more credibility. DCH's are still a 'hard' tyre, maybe KZ1 will eventually get a softer tyre like DDM or DDS.
