Richard, you will hear that Rotax batteries are expensive but take it from me, you don't want to get to a race and the battery to pack up on you (yes it happened to us and I am sure it has happened to loads of other people). Cheap(er) batteries may last a while but Rotax batteries are designed for the job - yes they are expensive but not as expensive as buying 2 or 3 cheaper ones and then having to buy the Rotax one as it is more reliable... I think Rotax only stipulate 2 types of plug and I believe both have the same heat rating (B10 I believe) Good spares to have for a Rotax are: complete clutch balance gears power valve ass'y fuel pump range of jets 30/30 and 60/60 jets and the 2 different floats some people carry a coil but we never needed one starter motor possibly reeds or a reed valve ass'y exhaust wadding
I'm sure I've missed some but someone will correct me?
