50mm absorbs the bumps in the track better and I find is better all round in handling . In the rain no issues at all and there are hubs that allow you to go as narrow as on smaller axles.
Yeah the wheels are all the same except some that are made for wets etc to suit 50mm like shockwaves and they are great and work well and can go narrow !!
Like any axle/kart it is setup that counts and seat position first on any chassis !
