Here we have the same ping - pong argument I see time and time again.

Someone makes a very reasonable comment about the standard of stewarding at a track.

Then a group of people gang up on that reasonable persons comment by saying how grateful we should be to the marshals, stewards etc with the odd crazy comment thrown in about how revenge is sweet when you are behind someone on the grid who has punted you off in the last heat !!

yes - everyone is grateful to track officials

BUT when repeated complaints are posted about decisions ( or lack of them ) at a particular club than the owners organisers of that club should not go on the defensive but consider carefully the comments and try to improve things.

Rye is a great track with great people but this bravado and ignoring of comments must stop and action should be taken to improve decision making and therefore the overall safety of all drivers.

People who vote with their feet are not wimps but reasonable people. We understand motorsport is dangerous but could be made less so by a firm and clear message by officails that incidents will be dealt with and penalties will be issued when required.

The alternative is anarchy where the rules of the track become the rules of the drivers
"he punted me out last time so i will get him back"

- this culture develops amongst the kids and before you know it the ambulances get more track time than the karts.

It is not just Rye - far from it. Rye is a very friendly club and nice people

We can't wait to vote with our feet in the opposite direction and come back to race at Rye as a culture of firm and fair stewarding takes hold again.
