Gents,
We managed to take our ebay special out to FEKC last practice. With some good help from Colin we had the engine going OK and found that we had to replace the inner throttle cable if I wanted to save the clutch :-) .

As a result of the testing I would help in understanding two things -

1 - Should I expect a black treacle like substance to come of the exhaust. If not then what could this related to.

2 - What is the best way to find baseline settings for the engine. At present it appears lacking in low down power but top end seems good. Should I start with a carb kit.
