Relax guys! Let me explain. After extensive testing on the production TAG engine on both dyno and track we accept that it is producing less effective power than the direct drive engine. I'll not bore you with the technical reasons why.

In order to make the engine compatible in performance with the direct drive engine we have carried out some minor mods which are currently going through approval process.

All we are doing is equalising performance and we have no intention of making the TAG engine faster than the original direct drive unit. We currently have engines out on test and will confirm a start date for the engine's official use in due course.

Tal-Ko will be modifying all current TAG engines free of charge to the new spec which underlines the fact that we are correcting a fault not trying to take a leap forwards. We do feel that the TAG option is a very important item for the new breed of younger karters coming through the ranks and making the engine fully compatible is vital to the continued success of the class.
