Well said QOT - karting should be a fun hobbie and indeed still is for many of us. Pauls last post almost put me off TKM and I would certainly disagree that going National is as cheap as club racing. The entry fee plus Friday practice is probably £40-£50 more than a Sat/Sun at your local club where you will be a member. Add in control fuel, travel to distant tracks and accommodation and the bills start to mount up. Even Paul's point of needing new tyres to be `on the pace' seems to differ from many views of TKM and again starts to make it look rather more expensive. Driving standards in TKM S1 may be better than at club level but for many other classes this does not seem to be the case. I will probably do junior TKM at club level next year but will stick to easykart for a national series as it really is fast, friendly and fun.
