At the same meeting down at dunks we had someone in gearbox who had one of their track rods let go just as they started breaking for the corner, it threw him straight into the side barrier at about 100mph, span him round and pretty much threw him out of the kart, another nasty one on the same day. Needless to say I checked absolutely everything on the kart before I went out for the next heat, something I will be doing with more frequency
