I'd say from your explaination that is exactly what you need. You could make it yourself simply by cutting off one of the legs of the mount you already have - that's what most people do. You may well have to do the same to the upper part of the maount too where it curls over the chassis tube. That will allow you to slide your engine back past the obstruction created by chassis tube junction and hence fit the correct shorter chain.
PS. Chain length has nothing to do with gearing of course.
