I've been doing my head in also with my driver 4 tenths slower!!
We've swapped engines, carb's combinations, stubs, axles, seat's including seat positions etc set-up's almost everything that I could think of 'going absolutely mental!!
Put driver back onto his older chassis and found ourselves back on the pace!!! Sent our chassis back to manufacturer for checking - chassis was found to bent at front end (thinking about it we'd had a small bump afew months ago) Chassis has been straightened, just waiting to get it back to see if were back on the pace.

Why don't you try back to back your chassis with another identical chassis using the same engine /carb combination and chassis set up!!!
