ignitions are that old now they frequently fail. Usually cracking around the stator or sometimes the coil just fails. If unable to source spares you can fit a complete PVL ignition. On some of the older motors (2500 back) you can only fit 2 of the 3 stator retaining bolts without 'thining' down one of the long bolts.
