Ok, i took it to bits again and found the problem....

There were 4 rubber o rings in there. One of the shoes had 2 underneath it, which was why it was sticking out and catching. Its weird cos we only put 3 on, so it must have already been stuck in the shoe....

Anyway, put it all back together and hey presto, it works! Cheers all
