Luke, why the obsession with the age of the motor and why do you refuse to believe the owner of TalKo who make the BT82? What makes you think we would know better than the manufacturer? Unless we were the original purchaser of that engine, how could we possible know when it was made or sold for the first time?
Ian T also pointed out in the previous thread on this that the serial number only relates to the crankcases and all other parts could have been changed at any time.
When the original 'full' engine was made is entirely irrelevant to it's performance, it's how well it's put together NOW that is important.
