Hi,
Stripped and sonic cleaned my younger sons carb. Its an older carb with the 5.2g floats but the idle jet is stamped 36, while the idle jet emulsion tube is a 30. Always heard reference to 30/30 so wondered - has mine been changed?
Its currently in service on a minimax (pre ARKS, son just getting up to speed)as elder son pinched the 8.5 it started with for his junior max as he felt / data shows pulled out of turns better but lost nothing at the top end on that motor.
The 12.5 on the Minimax four-strokes quite a bit low down in the rev range before clearing, despite dropping the needle (K98) down to P1 and having a float arm clearance of 5mm, working up from 3mm, so I wondered if it is likely to be due to a too big idle jet?
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Jon
