I would agree with itpro that the Mychron is far better - we use one and have sold our Alfano. We run in Comer cadets so have similar data needs to yourself. Add in the data key so that you can download to your computer and you will have loads of great information to study. You can replay the lap and see where the revs and temp changed. Instead of getting a bit panicky if you see a high engine temperature it may ease your mind when you see it only hit that level for a second or two. At the track we only note down the basic data i.e. lap time, max revs and engine temp on our paper records along with engine, carb/settings, weather, tyres/pressures, chassis settings. I know there are a lot of people who do not record anything and for them a cheaper Alfarno may be just as beneficial.
