thanks for that, just wish you had posted it last night!
quick update had a nightmare today, I took the kart out first thing set at 1 3/4 and 1/4 and low down was good, but when hit 9,000rpm it cut out, did this twice so pulled in, stripped carb and adjusted the float under the diafram, was slightly better, could get it to rev further, stripped another twice till I managed to get it to rev right up, decided to strip and have one more attempt, too far spewing fuel into the inlet and exhaust and just bogged, anyway after another few srtip and builds took it out and was revving fine up to about 15,500rpm, so I dropped 2 teeth which dropped revs to around 15k, my boy did 2 sessions and was flying, taking 1 second out of my best time and then he stopped..
couldnt get it to start so stripped the carb and the little flap that opperates the needle has snapped! so no race in the tkm :( not a good start to tkm ownership.
put the boy back into his junior world formula and that was no better! 1/2 lap and that stopped!
suppose it can only get better from here..
