Hi, away of checking whether the chassis is straight, which from what your saying could mean it is slightly bent, put and axle across the front sat on top of both king pin bolts on the stubs, stand back and look from the front of the kart and if u crouch down and look at the top of the axle you placed on the king pins, to the rear axle, check down both sides, you should see the same amount of the rear axle at both sides, if not your chassis is bent, but this can easily be rectified,
