thanks for your answers john , i apreciate the sentiment that i could be me , and trust me on the drive home saturday night i felt it might be , however the changes we made masked it enough to give a better feel.
we are talking carbs here that have been checked and set up buy people who have huge amounts of knowlage and run sucessful drivers in both the uk and europeso you'll appreciate why we are all scratching our heads here.
as for screws , we are talking the small screw close to the venturi is set as per the needle currently in the carb , altering this makes no noticiable difference , the larger screw with the spring on can be wound all the way in and still acheive no idle (now i know idle isn't necasary )
the changing round the pulse pipe and fuel line feed was how i belive we have masked the issue and was done for that reason and to enable us to race on sunday .....
