I'm having to sell my TKM due to needing money to spend on musical equipment for my band. I bought it when I was 12 intending to enter Junior TKM with it and start racing proffesionally. That never happened and i'm now almost 17, and haven't done a single race in it due to money and time restrictions.
So, it's up for sale. But, I love karting and driving 100ccs was so much fun.
Therefore it makes me happy to see my Dad's Gillard chassis from the 1980's hung up on the garage wall, and to find the 100cc DAP engine from it also in the garage.
Basically I have another kart, and i've started to put it together and replace worn bits with new ones.
Obviously I can't race it in an official championship due to it's age and it would break pretty much every single regulation going.
So, my question is, is there any sort of championship I can race this kart in? It doesn't have to be official, I just want to have fun racing going fast!
Also, i'm used to a clutched engine in my TKM and have never tried bump starting a direct drive kart before. I'm quite small for 17 and i'm not strong so I guess trying to pick it up and run with it would be out of the question. Would an easy start wheel be a good option?
