Hi

A friend and I are looking to buy a go kart in the near future mainly for practice days but potentially to go racing as our experience increases… One of our issues is weight! I am nearly 6ft and 98kg and my friend is a little shorter and lighter.
We are looking at TKM extremes as they seem to be the best route into karting from “commercial karts”, but from the research we have done unlike rotax which has 2 classes we can not find anything on TKM’s if there is a heavier class ?
We would be looking to potentially race at circuits like Shennington, Whilton Mill and Rissington which we know have TKM races, but we don’t want to always find ourselves at the back of the grid just due to our weight!!!

Secondly what is the average weight of a TKM kart in race trim? and is there a set weight minimum as in Rotax.
