Hi all

My son's Tonykart Racer Evx 07 brake (12mm thick disc) is giving us problems yet again! Having stripped it completely now three times in three months I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong when I rebuild it?

Once I've renewed all the seals (including piston seals as a precaution, lubricating them before installation) the brake seems to function properly for about two days practice and then my son son starts to experience a longer brake pedal. After around 6 practice days, having bleed the system a further 2 time in the meantime, the master cylinder seals appear to leak. Surely, the master cylinder seals should last longer than a month? ALbeit that the disc runs fairly hot.

I did considered changing the brake system to a Kelgate 4 pot brake system, but was advised by a vendor that fitting a 4 pot Kelgate to a Junior Rotax would be complete overkill! He suggested the Kelgate 2 pot brake (GTK). I've also seen a Hispec 2 pot brake system, which also looks quite good.

Any help would be much appreciated, with either the brake problem or offering an opinion on a replacement brake system.
