Disclaimer - I'm considering selling my TKM kit which has old style bodywork.

For anyone considering karting on a budget, a kart with older style bodywork is an opportunity to haggle and get a really good kart at a bargain price.
I would also recommend doing a few practice days before fitting the new bodywork if you want to race.

Regards

Karl
