I don't think anyone can say, hand-on-heart, that they have found the cure all. Was you problem worse after going over a kerb? They do seem prone to the needle sticking if there is a bump at the wrong time - carb with little fuel at that point.
Are you very careful filtering fuel - dirt seems to affect the Tryton more than the Tilly. The `O' ring does help to stop any dirt particles getting down to the needle/seat area.
Fitting a double spring also seems to help a bit plus you can make the paddle fit a bit tighter.
Have you given the Tryton a really good clean? We still had bits coming out after using a whole can a brake cleaner.
At Rowrah you do have the chance to set the Tryton on the stand as per the Zip guidelines whereas at lots of other tracks this can not be done due to the noise problems.
Overall we probably have no more problems with the Trytons now than with the Tillys. It was hoped that the modified blocks would solve some of the remaining problems but there is some doubt if these will be introduced.
One final point - have you checked all parts of the carb carefully? We have one where a casting mark has left a raised surface rather than the normal indent - the carb will never seal properly with this.
Final, final point - give Grant a call to see if he can offer some advice.
