I know on this thread some people have thought me mad to suggest a Ł20k budget so I had to say this....
A few months ago in Autosport they had an article showing the `minimum' cost for going from cadet karting to F1. That takes you through all the kart classes, formulae Renault or similar on eventually to F1 (obviously where you are aiming for your son?
Now sit down, get yourself a very large brandy (this may have to be cold tea and pretend because you will spend your money on your son's karting).
