I've had this where the clutch gets locked to the clutch drum. Under hard braking you lock up and it stops the engine. Sometimes it restarts when you unlock the wheels but other times the clutch drum frees up and you have to use the starter.
I've never got to the bottom of it.
Its a pain if you it's still jammed when you get punted off as the engine then won't restart.
