Morning everyone! I read many posts over the years about the money being spent in karting, money spent with teams, on chassis, on engines etc etc.
I don't understand why people don't consider Easykart/BirelART series.
OK its a once a month national series however if you want to race something comparable to X30 speeds, genuine controlled costs, plenty of track time, good grids then this is the series for you.
I did a one off race a couple of years ago and got slaughtered, and whilst I was disgruntled at the time, in truth it proved what a fantastic series had evolved over the last 8 years, that it is a very competitive series and anything but easy as many people in the series have race 5/10/20+ years so know how to drive.
I have raced various classes over 20 years, I didn't really have the budget to do super 1 etc, but my fondest racing memories in recent times were doing the Easykart championship in 2008/2009.
I have since moved abroad and been racing there but next week I am moving back to UK and as the new Easykart/BirelArt series is starting next weekend I will definitely be doing it (wife has had a bit of sense of humor failure about me doing this 3 days after we relocate back to UK...), but I can't wait to get back into a series which genuinely has a controlled budget and only about the driver!
I have no connection with Easkart I am simply highlighting that in these times where karting numbers are reducing and cost are raised as an issue, people should consider this and obviously the bigger grids the better! :D
