There are arrows for the inlet and outlet fuel pipes.

The arrow that point 'in' comes from the fuel tank.

The arrow pointing 'out' goes to the carburetor.

The 'odd' one that is in the middle of the pump is connected to the pulse pipe that comes from the union on the top of the engine crankcase gear cover.

Pulse pipe is different from fuel pipe.
