And to answer the question.

If your engine is a good one that suits your driving style, then have it rebuilt definitely.

With a rebuild you are keeping the most important bit which is the barrel.

Replacing the usual parts that make up a full rebuild should ensure your engine is returned to its former performance.

A new Rotax was always a lottery and with the collapse it could make the odds of a good one even longer.
