Can't blame the kart clubs for driving standards etc on the day the MSA are the POLICE it is down to the MSA officials on the day with an involvment if needed of a CLUB steward but they are very infrequently brought in by the MSA stewards/officials. The club drivers/regulars cannot help it if S1 drivers are attending their club meetingsa a month before the Circus arrives in town for its own show ,Clubs actively encourage them to do so. I think in the still current economical problems in the UK the clubs NEED the month before jump in entry /practice day revenues to subsidise the club events for the full season so these visitors are a necessary evil. A possible solution for clubbies would be the non awarding of CLUB trophies to "visiting" Super 1 drivers whenever they turn up as is the case with club championship points..you should have to be a member to get the trophy not just the winner on the day, after all they are only USING the club to their own ends and may only ever visit the track twice in a season then if they join the club just to get a pot (If they actually do finish high enough)more funds into the clubs pot. The S1 Circus if your club is lucky enough to be using you, can afford it some are alledgedly paying out £50,000+ a year in Cadets !!!!!!!!!
