The problem with raising these crucially important matters is the image it presents.

To potential newcomers it must look like karting is devoid of sportsmanship (that's perhaps the word that best sums it up).

Any potential newcomer should know that it is absolutely not like that everywhere; that clean, fair, friendly and sporting competition can be found at numerous meetings. You do not have to enter meetings where your equipment effectively has no value; there are much more positive options.

If you don't like the types of race meeting at issue here, don't enter them. Go elsewhere. It's easy. Some of those options are meanwhile mentioned above.
