You could try a bigger jet but 57 isn't particularly small.

I'd start by stripping and cleaning the carb, ultrasonic clear if you can, these carbs are also prone to cracking so check thoroughly before reassembly. Check the jet for any blockage and the tip of the float needle for ware or damage to the tip.

These engine are amazingly sensitive to the carb. and the carbs have always shown a lot of variation. Few are great, some good, most ok but too many are rubbish. The guy who won the bambino champ's a couple of years ago, had something like 30 carbs, he literally brought any, that came up for sale, so he could test them to weed out the good ones.
