Well it should have 5 grooves.

The lower the clip is set, the richer the setting is.

Lowering the clip actually raises the needle and thus allows more fuel past.

The needle is used because the Dellorto is a fixed jet carburetor unlike a Tillotson or Walbro.

There are many different profiles available but only the k27 and k98 are allowed in Rotax.

The 27 is a thinner profile and produces a richer range.

Clip 2 is a base setting.

The needle is effective between 1/4 and 3/4 throttle openings.
