I've already said the fix is 20p tops and I've posted the mod on Photobucket.

You always find that the negative brush is fine, so the problem is the positive brush, ain't rocket science to cure.

EXCEPT: you come up against the 'you can't modify it 'cos it's against the rules' brigade, so everyone suffers.

Given that, you do have to at least strip the starter periodically and give it a fettle, just like any other bit of kit.

Otherwise the starter does fail when the brushes wear out due to old age.

Does anyone actually know how the bendrix we use really works, anyone care to hazard a guess?
