To an extent that's true Alan, but we have a right to expect reasonable quality when we buy something new. If you bought a pair of shoes and the soles fell off the first time you wore them would you glue them back on or would you take them back to the shop? The x30 is clearly popular despite this issue, but it's not unreasonable to expect a starter to last a year or more without maintenance. Rotax and Tal ko seem to have achieved this, I'm surprised Iame haven't sorted it. The aussies were complaining about this in 2011.
