Assuming your rear carriers are the later type with only two holes. Use the bottom holes as standard and when it is hot in the summer then use the bottom holes.

At the front, two spacers top and bottom is standard, if you drop the rear in the summer drop the front to match so one spacer on top three at the bottom.
